We had the pleasure of connecting with fellow early childhood educators from around the world and observing new practices at overseas centres during the World Forum on Early Care and Education in Macao held from 8 – 11 April 2019.
This year’s Forum features some 300 early childhood professionals and advocates from more than 80 countries who shared information on issues impacting children worldwide. The bi-yearly event is organised by the World Forum Foundation, USA. They promote “an on-going global exchange of ideas on the delivery of quality services for young children in diverse settings”.
Representatives from Kinderland Singapore discussed views on current global trends and issues in early childhood education with fellow conference delegates. We shared our own practices, including innovation, values, and leadership in childcare services.
‘It was great to be with a group of like-minded people who shared common goals of improving the holistic well-being of children. The World Forum provided an excellent platform for us to share and discuss ideas on current global trend and issues in early childhood education, as well as important aspects in early childhood education, such as innovation, values, and leadership.” said Rebecca Goh, Education Specialist.
“Our visit to the preschool centres there has also broadened our knowledge on the setting and instructional practices in childcare centres.” she added.
