Singapore’s Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) held their annual hallmark event EARLY CHILDHOOD CONFERENCE 2019 at Suntec City Convention Centre on 13 and 14 September. Gracing the event themed Beyond the Classroom: Taking Learning Outdoors was Minister for Social and Family Development, Mr Desmond Lee.

Curated for early childhood (EC) professionals and parents with young children, there were 29 creatively planned and designed Learning Zones. Our academic team was spoilt for ideas on ways to enhance curriculum and pedagogical possibilities.

Our 13 little young musicians from Kinderland Preschool @ Yio Chu Kang instrumental stage ensemble was honoured to be part of the event. They performed a medley on “Never Enough” and “This is Me” from the movie “The Greatest Showman”, winning the audiences’ heart. Parent supporters were overwhelmed by the heart-warming sight of their little ones brimming with confidence at this public performance.

The most awaited highlight of the day was the SPARK Certification Presentation where centres of good standings were recognised. Senior Parliamentary Secretary of Ministry of Education & Ministry of Manpower, Ms Low Yen Ling, together with ECDA’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms Jamie Ang, conferred the 2019 recipients with certificates. Kinderland and Skool4Kidz were pleased to be amongst the 110 recipients, affirming 100% of Kinderland’s direct-owned centres to be SPARK Certified.

Toping that, Aisha is dedicated to strengthening partnerships with her students’ parents.
