– Stronger Together, Majulah!
Kinderland Preschool @ Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is honoured to be part of MOM’s National Day Observance Ceremony (NDOC) 2022. This year, the event was held at One Marina Boulevard’s, Stephen Riady Auditorium. Together with our children in celebration were, Minister for Manpower, Dr Tan See Leng, Senior Ministers of State (Manpower), Dr Koh Poh Koon and Mr Zaqy Mohamad.
Since 2006, MOM has been Kinderland’s valued partner in providing meaningful preschool education and care. These Kinderland preschool facilities at workplaces started back in the 1990s. These facilities synergise the Ministry of Manpower’s intent to encourage parents to rejoin the workforce.
Teachers, children and their parents were excited for the celebration, the first one since the last physical NDOC in 2019. With the support of parents and employees, we celebrate Singapore’s resilience as we work towards recovery from the pandemic. As a tightly knit community, we are committed to remain vigilant for new challenges ahead.
In his speech at the ceremony, Minister for Manpower, Dr Tan See Leng’s shared some key messages. He said: “…Singapore’s labour market continues to make good progress in tandem with the recovery of our economy”. He also shared “Singapore is tightly integrated with the global economy.” He cited the importance of refreshing our social compact and building a true society full of opportunities.
34 Kinderland children from K1 and K2 performed an artful piece. In tandem with the event’s key message, it showcases how despite cultural differences, Singaporeans could overcome challenges and emerge victorious.
