On August 8, Kinderland Preschool @ Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Kinderland Preschool @ Revenue House participated in the annual National Day Observance Ceremony (NDOC). The theme of this year’s National Day is “Onward As One”, encompassing two key messages. “Onward”, urging Singaporeans to look forward and be resilient to future challenges; and “As One”, highlighting the need for inclusivity and unity.
At Ministry of Manpower Services Centre, 26 children from Kinderland Preschool @ MOM performed and took the lead in the national anthem and pledge-taking. The Minister of Manpower, Dr. Tan See Leng, was present to join in the celebration. In his speech, he addressed the evolving challenges and potential arising from an increasingly diverse and aging population. He also highlighted the importance of investing in the success of the next generation.
Meanwhile, at Revenue House, 19 children from Kinderland Preschool @ Revenue House participated in a mass sing-along session. This included songs such as ‘Homes”, “Reach Out for the Skies”, and “Stand Up for Singapore”, followed by a performance of “Singapore Town” by the children. The Commissioner of Inland Revenue, Mr. Ng Wai Choong, attended the celebration and presented a token of appreciation to the children for their performance.
The ceremonies at both MOM and Revenue House were marked by excitement among the audience including teachers, children and parents. Kinderland’s partnership with government ministry workplaces began in 2006. By focusing on quality preschool education and care, the collaboration aligns with governmental objectives to assist parents in the workforce. Kinderland’s sustained commitment to supporting the workforce facilitates a balanced work environment for parents, thereby contributing positively to economic growth.
