Children from Kinderland Academy @ Yio Chu Kang performed at the Teck Ghee National Day Carnival on 22 August 2026. Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Ms Nadia Ahmad Samdin, Advisers to Ang Mo Kio GRC Grassroots Organisations attended the event.

Celebrating Singapore’s 61st birthday, the vibrant event brought together more than 2,500 residents across generations, races and cultures.

A special keepsake for our Kinderland Academy children and educators, pictured with Mr Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister and Adviser to Ang Mo Kio GRC GROs, standing at the back centre.

Taking centre stage, 15 children  from our Preschool Marching Band delighted the audience with a lively performance. They performed a medley of well-loved Singapore songs, including “Stand Up for Singapore”, “Singapore Town”, “Tong Yao” and “Reach Out for the Skies”. Their enthusiasm and energy added  to the festive National Day atmosphere.

Our 15 young musicians from Kinderland Academy @ Yio Chu Kang took centre stage, delighting the audience with a lively medley of beloved Singapore songs.

A memorable interaction between our children and Senior Minister and Adviser to Ang Mo Kio GRC GRO, Mr Lee Hsien Loong.

Beyond the performances, residents enjoyed fringe activities, collaborative community artwork and a mini- makers’ market featuring young entrepreneurs. These activities reflected Teck Ghee’s warmth, diversity and strong community spirit.

For our young performers, the carnival offered a meaningful opportunity to build confidence and experience the joy of performing. It also allowed  them to share their love of music and connect with the wider community.

Through such experiences, our children develop confidence while gaining a deeper appreciation of community and belonging.
