On 7th August 2018, children from Kinderland Preschool, Ministry of Education (MOE) were invited to be part of the annual MOE National Day Observance Ceremony (NDOC). The Kinderland children presented a song and dance item titled “Our Community”, which is a combination of two Kinderland theme songs. The children were dressed in ethnic clothing representative of Singapore’s multi-cultural diversity as well as community helpers such as firefighters, policemen and more. The song and dance depicted a sense of togetherness, belonging and the importance of the different roles that people play in a community.
Together with students from other educational institutions, all 25 of our K2 children participated in the performance this year. The finale performance ended with the children singing a medley of National Day songs with gusto!
