On February 6, 2023, devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria resulted in the tragic loss of over 50,000 lives, leaving millions displaced. In response to this crisis, Crestar Education Group (CEG) supported the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) initiative, with SRC pledging to raise S$100,000 in aid.

CEG’s education brands, Kinderland, ELFA, The Grange Institution and Crestar Learning Centre, participated in the donation drive. A total of S$12,000 was raised over a three-week period. These funds will provide essential relief items such as food, water, and hygiene kits to victims of the earthquake.

We are committed to instilling compassion, empathy and social responsibility in children from a very young age. Our approach goes beyond merely encouraging students to support relief efforts. Our teachers educated them about the devastating situation in Türkiye and Syria in class. Children also volunteered in the fund counting process at the SRC Office.

Through this hands-on experience, children learned the significant impact each cent can make in supporting those in need. By instilling these values early in life, we aim to inspire our young ones to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
