Every year-end, we celebrate the graduation of yet another batch of K2 children at Kinderland.

This year marks the long-awaited return of physical events for teachers and children. At Kinderland, we feel fortunate and heartened to be able to hold this year’s graduation in a physical setting. Parents could watch in pride as their children stepped on stage to receive their graduation certificates. This is the first time such physical graduation, with an audience, has resumed since the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

This concert, held between 13 – 15 December 2022, commemorated the graduation of our 184 Kindergarten Two children. The 2022 graduation concert theme was “Scale New Heights, Climb Every Mountain”. The songs performed were adapted from the well-loved musical “The Sound of Music”. The graduates mesmerized the audiences with performances to showcase their creativity and charisma while sharing an original story.

The story epitomizes the children’s challenges in their lives. It also affirms that our children can climb steep mountains with self-confidence and determination. Together with our graduates, challenges can be overturned into opportunities to scale new heights.

Music is vital for Kinderlanders, harnessing skills required for learning, such as language development, spatial-temporal adaptability and concentration.

We celebrate alongside the parents, witnessing how our children have benefitted from learning music in Kinderland’s Children’s Music Programme. Kinderland’s unique curriculum and keyboard music programme helped a whole generation since it was first formed. The programme enhanced the skills required for learning, such as language development, spatial-temporal adaptability and concentration.

This physical concert allowed the children to perform classic songs like “Do-Rae-Mi” and “Climb Every Mountain.”

Kinderland Virtual Preschool Marching Band, presented by children at Kinderland Academy @ Yio Chu Kang, performed signature tunes “Consider Yourself” and “Doraemon”. All parents had the opportunity to watch this special performance as part of the concert programme.

The children performed with portable keyboards, glockenspiel, marimba, xylophone, tenor drums, snare drums, bass drums and handbells.

To the parents of our graduates, congratulations on your child’s rewarding preschool journey! We thank you for your trust and support and for allowing Kinderland to be a part of your child’s development and education journey.

Kinderland will continue to empower our children to be curious, creative, capable, confident, caring and communicative individuals. Our children will write unique new chapters in the growth story in the coming days.
