Kinderland International Education is proud to receive the Commendation Award with Special Mention at the 15th SAFRA Awards Presentation this year. The award is in recognition of Kinderland’s significant contributions and valued partnership with Singapore Armed Forces Reservists Association (SAFRA) over the past 18 years as a corporate partner. Kinderland, together with other recipients including DBS Bank, Families for Life Council, and ST Engineering, received the award from Dr Mohamad Maliki Bin Osman, Senior Minister of State for Defence and President of SAFRA. Over 400 guests, comprising SAFRA Board of Governors, the Management and Executive Committee and more were present.
Kinderland’s partnership with SAFRA dates back to 2001, through an invitation to operate childcare services in clubs run by SAFRA. The first Kinderland centre present in SAFRA Club was at Toa Payoh. In 2010, a collaboration between Kinderland and SAFRA started the first NurtureStars Preschool – which follows a unique curriculum focusing on physical-education, provided by Japan’s largest preschooler academy, the JACPA Corporation.
Over the years, Kinderland International Education has been a close and supportive partner of SAFRA, successfully setting up six NurtureStars Preschool centres at various SAFRA Clubs. NurtureStars serves the families of the NSmen, with related activities weaved into its curriculum. The book ‘Our Dad, Our Hero’ was created by NurtureStars to encourage greater appreciation of NSmen.
NurtureStars is also an active participant in SAFRA’s campaigns and events, such as SAFRA Family Days and Clubs’ Open Houses. In the recent initiative to show the appreciation to NSmen, NurtureStars was a key partner of ‘We Thank NSmen’. Late surcharges when picking up children from school were waived.
Kinderland International Education looks forward to more of such fruitful collaborations to serve and support our country’s protectors, meaningfully.
