Celebrating World Water Day with love and learning at Kinderland!

At Kinderland, sustainability starts early. By weaving eco-lessons into daily learning through play and hands-on experiences, we are nurturing young eco-heroes who care deeply for the planet.

World Water Day: Every Drop Counts

Water is life—and our children learned just how precious it is. Through fun and age-appropriate activities, they explored the importance of water conservation. At Kinderland Preschool @ Ministry of Manpower rainwater was used to flush toilets, turning a simple routine into a sustainability lesson.

Children learned to ration water during handwashing when the centre’s water supply was temporarily turned off

Some centres, like Kinderland Academy @ Yio Chu Kang, even turned off water supplies temporarily. Children collected water using recycled bottles, experiencing water scarcity firsthand. During this time, they also practised rationing water during handwashing, building mindful habits.

Our little Eco Warrior from Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Mart passionately spreads the message of water conservation

Creativity flowed as children made water-themed hats, bookmarks, and vibrant posters pledging to save water. Even infants and toddlers joined in, engaging in water play and simple science experiments. At Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Mart, K2 students became proud Water Ambassadors, spreading water-saving messages beyond their classrooms.

Earth Day: Small Hands, Big Impact

Building on the momentum of World Water Day, our centres embraced Earth Day with the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle—at the heart of celebrations.  Beyond the 3Rs the children at Kinderland Academy @ Yio Chu Kang also learn about sustainability to ensure our earth’s natural resources are conserved. One way is to learn to be self-sustaining through farming in school.  The children also upcycled materials into creative projects and explored nature through their school garden.

The relation is a bit far for 3Rs to the garden. The faces doesn’t flow. But what u can say is beyond the 3Rs the children also learn about sustainability to ensure our earth’s natural resources are conserved. One way is to learn to be self-sustaining through farming in school

At Kinderland Preschool @ Sunshine Place, families joined the fun. Parents and children crafted eco-art from recycled and natural materials. Show & Tell sessions gave children the chance to proudly present their creations. Recycling games taught the importance of sorting waste to protect the planet.

As we wrap up our World Water and Earth Day celebrations, we are proud of how much our little ones have learned about caring for the planet. We hope they will continue these eco-friendly habits at home, inspiring their families one small action at a time.
