This year, Singapore’s 60th celebration began on a truly heart-warming note for Kinderland Preschool @ Ministry of National Development (MND). Our preschoolers proudly took part in two special celebrations that brought together music, culture, and community.

The celebration kicked off with a memorable celebration at the Ministry of National Development on 4 August. Our Kindergarten Two children captivated the audience with pianica and dance performances. They earned warm cheers from attendees, including Mr Loh Ngai Seng Permanent Secretary, National Development, Ms Geraldine Low Deputy Secretary Planning, MND, and Ms Yeo Geok Hong, Board Member, Lions Home.

The celebrations continued 8 August with the Ministry’s National Day Observance Ceremony 2025, held at the Flower Field Hall, Gardens by the Bay.

Guest-of-Honour Mr Chee Hong Tat, Minister for National Development, inspired attendees with his National Day address at the MND Family’s Observance Ceremony on 8 August.  In his speech, he celebrated Singapore’s 60 years of independence. He also recognised the dedication of MND agencies’ project teams, who worked tirelessly across multiple fronts to improve our city and create a better home for all Singaporeans.

This event was also attended by Senior Minister of State, Ms Sun Xueling, and Minister of State, Mr Alvin Tan.

Our young performers then charmed the audience with a pianica rendition of Di Tanjong Katong, followed by a graceful dance to the tune of 童谣. They then presented Guest-of-Honour, Mr Chee Hong Tat, with a hand-crafted canvas artwork—a meaningful keepsake to mark both his first National Day Observance Ceremony as Minister and Singapore’s 60th birthday.

Together, these celebrations reflected unity, resilience, and the joy of nurturing young learners who will carry Singapore’s future with pride.

Through such experiences, our young learners gain confidence, cultural appreciation, and a deeper sense of belonging to the nation.

For Kinderland, being part of these milestones underscores our commitment to building strong partnerships with the ministry and supporting better family life in Singapore.

Happy 60th Birthday, Singapore!
