A total of 860 teachers and staff at Crestar Education Group’s (CEG) Early Childhood Education division each received a ’Care Pack’ on the 6 April 2020, one day before the ‘Circuit Breaker’ began. It was an exercise to appreciate our own frontliners who had to continue in providing education services during the COVID-19 outbreak.
An initiative led by Kinderland International Education, this activity was joint by ELFA Chinese Preschool, NurtureStars Preschool, Skool4Kidz Preschool and The Grange Institution.
Each CEG Care Pack contained an orange, apple, hand-sanitiser, a packet of anti-bacterial wipes and thermometer. These little bundle of care were meant to boost the morale of our centre staff and to remind them to also care for themselves. CEG would also like to thank our vendor, Chia & Thai, for their donations amounting to the CEG Care Pack.
We stand in solidarity with our own education service providers as they continue to work from home to provide home-based learning during the ‘Circuit Breaker’ period, which has now extended to 1 June 2020.
We also recognise and thank some of our preschool teachers who continued to support the operations of some of our preschools. These preschools provide limited services to essential services workers, who require custodian care for their children.
CEG continues to urge all its staff to observe a high level of precautionary measures and good personal hygiene, including washing their hands regularly and wearing masks whenever they travel.
