BILINGUAL CHINESE PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN IN SINGAPORE
The Chinese Language Programme is based on expertise and resources from Kinderland’s China network of over 20 centres and affiliations, including Beijing Normal University.
It is benchmarked against the HSK International, which sets the worldwide standards for Chinese proficiency tests. Kinderland’s Chinese teachers are HSK-certified.
The Chinese curriculum is synchronised with the English curriculum, e.g. similar themed topics are taught in both English and Chinese, to provide children with a more comprehensive learning structure.
Theme songs and rhymes, children’s literature, and hands-on theme-related activities spanning curricular domains are introduced to make learning Chinese fun and meaningful.
In addition to developing children’s foundational skills and language abilities through theme-based integrated learning activities, theme-related mini projects are incorporated at the K1 and K2 levels. These projects are interest-driven and provide opportunities for children to use the Chinese language in authentic problem-solving experiences. Through these experiences, children develop curiosity, a spirit of inquiry, critical and creative thinking, and problem-solving skills, while discovering the joy of using the Chinese language.
We offer Chinese Language learning across the following age groups:
- Infant (3–11 months)
- Infant (12–18 months)
- Pre-Nursery 1 (1.5–2 years)
- Pre-Nursery 2 (3 years)
- Nursery (4 years)
- Kindergarten 1 (5 years)
- Kindergarten 2 (6 years)
Learning Goals
Aligned with A Curriculum Framework for Preschool Education in Singapore, Kinderland’s Chinese Programme focuses on the following three goals:
- Enjoy and show an interest in learning the Chinese Language
- Develop children’s foundational Chinese language and literacy skills
- Listen with understanding
- Speak with confidence
- Recognise print and read with assistance
- Make marks, draw symbols and write letters/characters to represent ideas
- Develop an awareness of their local ethnic culture
- Foster a basic understanding and appreciation of local culture, including festivals, customs, traditions, folktales and stories
- Strengthen communication with family, friends, and community members through: daily use of the Chinese language, sharing their Chinese learning experiences, actively participating in cultural, festive, and traditional events

Approximately 40% of lessons are conducted in Mandarin.
馨乐园的华文课程汲取了其在中国的专业网络,包括北京师范大学在内,共20多家学前教育中心和合作机构的专业资源与经验。
课程以国际中文水平考试(HSK)的标准为基准,馨乐园的华文教师均获得HSK专业认证。

除了通过主题整合式教学活动培养幼儿的基础技能与语言能力,在K1与K2阶段还融入与主题相关的迷你项目活动(mini projects)。这些项目活动从幼儿的兴趣出发,让他们在运用华文探索和解决真实问题的过程中,发展好奇心、探索精神、批判性思维、创新思维以及解决问题的能力,并从中感受使用华文的乐趣。

- 通过在日常生活中使用华语,并分享华语学习的经历、积极参加节庆活动、民俗活动和传统文化活动等方式,加强幼儿与家人、朋友和社区成员之间的交流。
